This is the first time in years I do not have any concrete travel plans on my calendar. My family and I just canceled some plans for later this year because we didn't want the stress of wondering whether or not we should go. We wanted to make a decision and stick with it.
While I know this was the right decision, it is still upsetting. As a type A person, I like to plan and know what is coming up.
Many people are asking me when I think I will travel again and I say whenever the CDC, WHO, and DHS lift their travel advisories and I feel safe both traveling and being at a destination.
I will have no trouble getting on a plane or a cruise ship. Personally I feel no greater risk with these two things than I would eating at a crowded restaurant or going to a concert.
Life from here on out will be a series of calculated risks.
What are the things you think you will avoid and what are you itching to do?
