Our Approach
Hi, I'm Tiffani
Yes, that is with an i. My parents got creative. I am a Gen Xer who has had a passion for travel since I was six. That’s when my parents took me out of the USA for the first time and I developed a desire for learning anything I can about people and their cultures. I now work to support my travel habit.
I’m at 83 countries and counting and I can honestly say my goal isn’t to visit every country in the world. That just isn’t possible and there are some places that just aren’t safe or interesting to me. I’m missing eight of the 50 states and have been to both Alaska and Hawaii.
I have stayed in hostels where I slept with my luggage bike-locked to my leg and my passport and money belt under my pajamas. I have sailed on luxury cruise ships where people magically seemed to appear to carry my plate of food from the buffet to the table. I have stayed in private homes, small hotels, huge resorts, and everything in between.
Let me just say I have outgrown sharing a bathroom in a hostel and I can still carry my own plate, so I am more comfortable somewhere between the two lodging extremes as long as I have a clean bed and a private bathroom. I readily admit I’m not a rough-it kind of girl.
I travel solo, but that doesn’t mean I am always alone. Solo for me means going on an organized tour without knowing anyone before the orientation presentation. Solo means thinking of somewhere I want to go and inviting a few friends. Solo can also mean vacationing alone and then hanging out with people you meet along the way and being as social as you want to be.
For years my friends and family have been saying I should be a travel writer. So now I am. I am also a Nebraska Cornhusker fan by birth and a proud Duke Blue Devil because of my diploma. You can love me or hate me for either, or both.
